Soak up summer in the Stonewall Gallery with our newest show: Ballparkometry, featuring handmade letterpress prints of all thirty Major League Baseball parks by Rowdy Titmouse Studio. Purchase a framed print for your favorite baseball lover and help them cheer on their favorite team!
Kate Cavanaugh is the artist behind Rowdy Titmouse Studio. Of her ideas and process behind Ballparkometry, Kate writes: I grew up watching the Detroit Tigers as a very young child and have remained an avid baseball fan ever since. In summer 2025 I had the idea to print an aerial-view layout of each MLB ballpark. I traced every MLB ballpark in Adobe Illustrator. Tracing the parks gave them a down to Earth feel – not too perfect – but still honoring the geometry of the parks and the individual dimensions of each field. These illustrations were then converted to photopolymer plates and printing began on Imogene, my Chandler & Price press, in autumn 2025. They are printed on 600 gsm cotton paper which accepts a lovely debossing.
Kate Cavanaugh of Rowdy Titmouse Studio is a letterpress and linoleum printmaker. Largely self-taught, her art education has been through workshops, YouTube, and plenty of trial and error. She embraces both the vintage and modern forms of letterpress using antique lead type, as well as custom photopolymer plates made from her original art. She takes inspiration from flora, fauna, geometry, bold colors, and sarcasm. Kate lives in Midcoast Maine with her husband, son, and four cats.
The show will be on view through August 29, 2026. The Stonewall Gallery is located inside the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street in Yarmouth, Maine. Our hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00-4:00.
A note about parking: Please note that the Town has closed Royal River Park and its parking lot this summer for construction and improvements. Parking is available in the History Center’s lot. On-street spots are available on the upper part of East Elm Street, towards Main Street. There are also spaces available just before the East Elm Street bridge.
