Saturday, October 15 at 11:00 am ~ Join Yarmouth Historical Society and historian Ron Romano for a walking tour of historic Baptist Cemetery on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00 am. Romano, an expert on Cumberland County stonecutter Bartlett Adams (1776-1828), will share his knowledge about Adams’ prolific career in southern Maine as well as his work here in Yarmouth. Romano is the author of the recently published Early Gravestones in Southern Maine: The Genius of Bartlett Adams and currently serves on the board of Spirits Alive, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving Eastern Cemetery in Portland.
This event is free and open to the public and will begin at Baptist Cemetery on Hillside Street in Yarmouth.
