Linda Gerson is a Maine artist based in Wells. Her earlier work focusing on still lifes has more recently given way to a dynamic exploration of abstraction without losing her strong sense of exuberant color and balanced composition. Of her work, Gerson writes that she “creates abstract paintings from her years learning composition and color theory, ultimately learning to trust her intuition in mark making. Her art is based on her interactions with the natural world, her dreams, and her psychological work with clients and self.” Unfolding will be on view through October 28, 2022.
The Stonewall Gallery is located within the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street in Yarmouth and is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
