We recently received a donation of photographs of Yarmouth and the surrounding towns, which were taken in the 1970s and ’80s. All together, this wonderful collection, the work of photographer Ron Turner, fills three binders and captures moments in daily life, the excitement of special events, and the faces of local residents. Unfortunately, though, very few of these faces are identified.That’s where you come in. We invite you to stop by the History Center through the winter to view our Mystery Photo exhibit. Maybe you can identify someone in these photos. Or, perhaps you attended or remember an event depicted in one. If so, we’d love to add that information to our archives as we work to document this collection. We’ll be changing the photos regularly, so be sure to stop in more than once. The History Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
