Please join us at Yarmouth History Center for a free public reading and presentation on Tuesday, April 30 at 4:00 as participants in our spring writing workshop share their work. This 5-week workshop, led by local author Steve Langan, guided participants in exploring their personal history through the lens of illness and health. Participants will share excerpts from their new work at this concluding session, which is free and open to all.

Workshop leader Steve Langan, whose background is in creative writing and public health, holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He has taught at Creighton University, Baylor University, and the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he served as Director & Community Liaison at the Medical Humanities program. Langan is the founder of Seven Doctor Project. He has presented and led writing workshops at the Mayo Clinic, Brown University, University of Montreal, Medical College of Wisconsin, and many others. He lives in Yarmouth and on Cliff Island.

Yarmouth History Center is located at 118 East Elm Street in Yarmouth. We are open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
