Discover the Royal River

September 12, 2017

As part of Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, you’re invited to discover the Royal River and enter to win a 2018 Maine State Park pass. Beginning on Saturday, September 30 and continuing through the month of October, explore five beautiful locations along the river in Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, New Gloucester, and Durham. Enjoy the hikes, learn about local history, and have fun snapping selfies at any (or all) of the 16 selfie stations along the routes. Stop by the Yarmouth History Center, 118 East Elm Street, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 30 to pick up a trail map and enjoy cider and cookies before your hike. Trail maps will also be available all month at the History Center as well as at kiosks along the trails and online at www.RRCT.org.

To enter to win a 2018 Maine State Park pass, send your trail selfies to info@RRCT.org or tag your photos @RoyalRiverConservationTrust on Facebook or Instagram. Please visit www.RRCT.org for more information. Prize winners will be drawn on November 1, 2017.

This program is sponsored by Yarmouth Historical Society, North Yarmouth Historical Society, New Gloucester Historical Society, Durham Historical Society, Skyline Farm, and the Royal River Conservation Trust.
